The procedure for HMPs and VMPs is: the authorisation holder should confirm in the Mobile technologies form that the content has not been modified in any way. The authorisation holder must also submit the updated packaging elements (medicinal product information and/or packaging) at the same time as the updated Mobile technologies form.

For medicinal products that only have Information for healthcare professionals available and no patient information or for veterinary medicinal products that do not include a package leaflet, the QR code can link to the Information for healthcare professionals published on the platform swissmedicinfo-pro.ch.

Given the legally established duty of publication of medicinal product information via the foundation Refdata, the link to swissmedicinfo-pro.ch is the preferred method of implementation. In general, however, a link to other platforms is possible provided that the relevant approved medicinal product information is provided there in complete and up-to-date form.

Yes. For medicinal products that include patient information or for veterinary medicinal products that include a package leaflet, the QR code can link to the medicinal product information published on the platform swissmedicinfo.ch.
