Swissmedic and the UK Veterinary Medicines Directorate agree collaboration on veterinary medicinal products

The aim of the collaboration is to promote understanding of regulatory frameworks and sharing of information. The focus here is on increased collaboration in the review of authorisation applications for veterinary medicinal products.
Through its cooperation with the Veterinary Medicines Directorate, Swissmedic is making a decisive contribution to promoting the supply of high-quality, safe veterinary medicinal products in Switzerland. Nina Walser, Head of the Veterinary Medicinal Products Division, is pleased about the collaboration with the UK partner authority: “Both organisations can contribute their knowledge and experience to this cooperation. It also offers the opportunity for faster access to safe, high-quality and effective veterinary medicinal products through accelerated processes.”
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding is the result of the excellent bilateral collaboration with the Veterinary Medicines Directorate. It is the second Memorandum of Understanding in the area of veterinary medicinal products.
