Registered UDI-DIs can be discarded, if they contain incorrect data, which cannot be corrected via an update due to the business rules. The discard functionality is not allowed to be used for changes to devices, it is only allowed to be used for the correction of incorrectly submitted data.
Discarded UDI-DIs are deleted in the system and no longer visible in the public search, however they can be registered anew.
