The new guidance document sets forth regulations on the use of mobile technologies, citing the example of the QR code printed on packaging and in medicinal product information. The QR code may be linked to information pertaining to therapeutic products legislation and/or additional information such as instructional videos.
The code is intended to facilitate access to information relating to the use of a medicinal product, especially for persons with disabilities. It also facilitates access to information in additional languages.
The new Mobile technologies guidance document and the related form enter into force on 1 March 2023.
