Following the entry into force of the revised legislation on therapeutic products on 1 January 2019, the new legal provision on self-medication required the evaluation and reclassification of all substances on the list of documented traditional Asian substances (TAS list), which were previously allocated to dispensing category C. The evaluation took account of the legal requirements, based on the list of criteria for reclassification of medicinal products in different dispensing categories published on 31 July 2017 and with the involvement of external experts.
