Other alternative treatments

In addition to the alternative treatments (homeopathy, anthroposophic medicine and traditional Asian medicine) named in Article 4 paragraph 1 letter ater  TPA (SR 812.21) and described in detail in Chapters 4 and 5 KPTPO (812.212.24), there are other treatments that are considered to be alternative treatments, such as acupuncture, osteopathy and gemmotherapy.

Many of the other alternative treatments work without medicines developed specially for their field.

In contrast, gemmotherapy is a treatment based on the active substances developed for this therapy and the medicines manufactured from them. Specific requirements have been defined for medicinal products intended to be authorised for this treatment. Follow the link below for more information:
